Make up and removal: 5 Tips for a greener beauty
I don't use a lot of make up so I am not the woman you should ask about a lot of cosmetic recommendations :D But I use some mascara or eye liner once in a while and the only things I need to remove them is coconut oil and my cotton cloth.
I wash my face with water and a little bit of soap in the evening and use coconut oil, that I can find in bulk or in glass jars in every supermarket, or other natural oils like almond, olive as lotion for my body and face. Simple.
I still have mascara in a plastic bottle from the days before my plastic free journey. I know that you should actually change to new mascara after a while because it could catch some germs or the mascara can dry out or get funky, but I wash the brush regularly and had no problems until now. If I would buy a new one I would take a look for an organic-vegan brand, check Etsy for handmade organic products or find a brand that is offering refills.
