In a few days it's 2018 and all the feeds on social media and also news and magazines are full with new year resolutions: loosing weight, doing sports, eating healthier, doing more of this or that. Do you know how many people are actually sticking to these goals?
Just a few, 80% fail by February!!
That's one reason why I don't believe in New Years Resolutions!
I believe if I want to change something I am starting right now, not in a few weeks or days. If I want to change something it's something I need to believe in, no matter if its new years eve or mid of July.
And July is the month when I started my plastic free journey. I joined plastic free July this year because I got hit with all the plastic pollution when we traveled South East Asia last year. I started to think how I could minimize my plastic foot print while traveling and then I found and joined Plastic Free July 2017.
I tried, I failed a few times but I stuck to it. Have been 99% Single Use Plastic Free since August 2017.
I also started to eat a lower carb diet in June and I stuck to it because I feel so much better.
I don't want to stop anybody making New Years Resolutions. I know some people might need a special date to start something. I just want to give you some tips how you can stick to your goals.

If you are a total beginner try to only chose one step after another. Maybe even just work on one new habit each month and at the end of 2018 you will see that you got a few new awesome habits.
